In 2004 graduated from St. Petersburg State University (Master`s degree in geology).
While studyingbegan the career as a trainee geologist at FSUE Polar Marine Geosurvey Expedition.
Then held the positions of engineer at FSUE All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources of the World Ocean; leading geologist at NAMSLAVIC EXPLORATION (PTY) LTD (Northern Namibia, Africa); director of geological exploration at SUN Mining Limited and Chief Geologist at VI Holding Group.
From 2011 to 2021 worked as Chief Geologist at GPB Global Resources (Gazprombank structure).
In 2022 headed East Planet as CEO.
In November 2022 headed SN Gold Mining team as CEO.


After graduating from Geologic Faculty of Tashkent State University in 1977 with the degree in Geological Surveying and Prospecting for Mineral Deposits he started working on Kyzylkum Geological Exploration Expedition. During his work on Kyzylkum expedition being a responsible executor he compiled 10 production reports and took part in 12 reports as a co-author. In 1995 he participated in the project on mining gold by leaching from ores of Muruntau deposit with the volume of ore processing of 14 million tons per year, where he was Head of complex laboratory for the study of physical properties of rocks and ores. From 2006 to 2007 he worked as Chief Geologist at NBLzoloto consulting company.
In 2007 he joined IK Arlan as Chief Geologist and was in charge of geological exploration projects in Russia and Africa.
In 2010 he became CEO of AO ZRC Pavlik and led the company through all stages of development from geological exploration and supplying 150 tons of gold reserves to the state balance up to the construction of a mining and processing enterprise with a capacity of 5 million tons of ore per year.
V. Makarov is the author of 17 scientific articles (of which 5 are co-authored) in a number of specialized journals.


After graduating from Sergo Ordzhonikidze Moscow Institute of Geological Exploration Alexander started his professional career as a geologist at PGO Sosnovgeologiya in 1984 and reached the position of Chief Geologist, then he continued to work at FGUGP Chitageolograzvedka. In 1998 he was engaged in arrangement, management and conduction of anticipating and greenfields exploration for gold and other minerals. In 2001 he passed his Ph.D. defense.
In 2008 he became the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Trans-Baikal Territory and was engaged in broad guid to functional and sectoral management of natural resources and environmental protection. In 2013 he joined the industry as Chief Geologist in Pervaya Gornorudnaya Kompaniya (Atomredmetzoloto), and then in Management Company Zolotoy Aktiv, where he dealt with prospecting, appraisal and exploration of gold and polymetal deposits.
A. Tarabarko is the discoverer of polymetal deposit the Noion-Tologoi in Aleksandrovo-Zavodskoy district of Chita Region (now Trans-Baikal Territory) where he carried out all stages of geological exploration. For the discovery of the deposit in 1991 he was awarded the title of laureate of Geolbank prize of Russia. He was also decorated with Excellence in exploration of mineral resources and is an honored geologist of Trans-Baikal Territory.

In 2003 graduated from Ivanovo State University with a degree in Accounting and Auditing.
While studying, he began his professional career in Russian audit companies.
From 2005 to 2009, he worked for KPMG, one of the world's largest consulting companies, where he organized audits of the largest enterprises in the field of energy, as well as ferrous and non–ferrous metallurgy.
From 2009 to 2022, he held senior positions in the field of economics and finance in the largest companies of different industry specializations: equipment manufacturing drilling rigs and hardware («National Oilwell Varco»), power engineering (JSC «Power Machines»), gold production («Nordgold», JSC «Pavlik», GC «Gold of Kamchatka»).
Behind a successful experience in implementing the following projects:
• creation of a management accounting system "from scratch";
• automation of different areas of work of the financial and economic service;
• introduction of new technological processes;
• effective reorganization of business processes;
• turnaround and M&A projects for assets worth more than $300 million;
• restructuring of the loan portfolio.
He is the holder of the Russian Certificate of General Audit, the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences in the field of business assessment, and is also an honorary member of the Global Professional Association АССА.


In 1995 graduated with honors from Omsk State Technical University. He started his career path in procurement in 1997.
In 2002, he headed the Logistics and Equipment Supply Department of JSC "Transsibneft" (a subsidiary of JSC "Transneft").
While working at the company, he developed and implemented his own automated procurement management system, which made it possible to significantly reduce the level of inventory items, as well as increase the productivity of department employees by automating routine processes and improving the quality of execution of applications.
From 2005 to 2015, he worked for the "Severstal" company. He was engaged in the development and implementation of procurement strategies for enterprises of the mining and gold mining divisions of the company. The introduction of unique strategies at that time allowed Severstal to become the first company in Russia that: concluded long-term contracts for the supply of tires for quarry equipment with Michelin and Bridgestone companies; developed and implemented a system of long-term contracts for the supply of cable and wire products with formal pricing; opened plants for the production of emulsion explosive substances of Maxam companies at its own enterprises and Orica.
In 2015, headed the newly formed equipment department of the Alumina Division of the RUSAL company.
Supervised the purchase of mining and processing equipment for the company's enterprises in Russia, Africa, Central and South America, etc. The period of work coincided with the imposition of sanctions against the company by the United States and its "allies" (2018), which required a radical redrawing of procurement and logistics processes.
Along with the work in 2015, he successfully completed advanced training courses for managers at the Higher School of Corporate Governance at RANEPA.
In 2020, he moved to the position of Head of the Procurement and Resources Center of Diamond Mining Company ALROSA. He worked on the implementation of category management in the company, taking into account the requirements and limitations of FZ-223.
In 2022, joined the SN Gold Mining team as Director of procurement.

Work experience:
• leading mining engineer of Vostokgeologiya LLC, where he carried out sole preparation, coordination and presentation in Rostekhnadzor of the first Mining Development Plan for the opening of the Bystrinsky deposit;
• deputy Head of the Mine for Mining operations, and then the head of the project office at GRK Bystrinskoye LLC;
• head of the Open Mining operations and roads Project Office at Geotech Innovation LLC.
A number of successfully implemented large-scale projects of ore mining and processing sector, including:
• opening and commissioning of 3 ore mining quarries of polymetallic deposits;
• formation of a project team from scratch to launch and implement a project with a budget of more than 7 billion rubles;
• implementation of the project of digital dispatching of the mining and technological complex of one of the largest enterprises in the Russian Far East;
• solving the problem of reducing the cost of ore extraction in the first year of operation of a polymetallic deposit;
• introduction of an ore mixing system with three useful components to achieve uniform design quality of the finished products of the processing plant.
In November 2022, joined the SN GM team.


JSC «Artemovsky mine»
In 1986 he graduated from Tomsk State University the Faculty of Geology and Geography.
For many years of experience in the mining industry (more than 30 years):
• held positions from district geologist to general director in such companies as Nord Gold, Solway, Buryatzoloto, GC Zolotoi Aktiv, Novosibirsk Tin Plant and others;
• was involved as a responsible manager of a number of ore processing projects by heap leaching, built and launched industrial facilities in Siberia and the Russian Far East;
• worked at gold mining enterprises from the Southern Urals to Magadan, from Tuva to Kyrgyzstan;
• participated in the launch of a mine in Kyrgyzstan, construction and launch of mines in the Far North, the Russian Far East, Kuril Islands, Khabarovsk Territory.

After graduation from the Geological Exploration Faculty of the Sergo Ordzhonikidze Russian State Geological Exploration University in 1991, he began his professional career as a geologist-engineer at the FSBI Institute of Mineralogy, Geochemistry and Crystal Chemistry of Rare Elements (IMGRE).
From 1993 to 2002, at the FSBI All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Mineral Resources named after N.M. Fedorovsky (VIMS), he took part in geological exploration in the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Irkutsk region. He worked his career way from an ordinary geologist engineer to deputy manager of the Department of evaluation of the mineral resource base of uranium in Russia.
From 2003 to 2007 in ZAO NPO Irgiredmet&Noion as a Chief Officer, he supervised such cycles of work as geological exploration with entering reserves on TKZ’s balance, expert examinations and construction of a heap leaching plant for gold at the Yuzik deposit (Republic of Khakassia).
From 2008 to 2010, he occupied various positions at the enterprises forming part of GC Renova. In particular, he participated in geological exploration in Kamchatka, the Kola Peninsula and Ural. He also supervised geological exploration in Mongolia, Namibia and Kyrgyzstan.
From 2011 to 2016, at OOO En+ Ugol, he was the head of geological exploration (gold) in Kyrgyzstan and was involved in protection of reserves and state expertise for reconstruction and construction of coal enterprises in Yakutia, Khakassia and Tyva.
In 2017, at OOO GeoSolutions, he held position of chief geologist for geological monitoring at the Berezitovoye, Uryakh, Nezhdaninskoye, Prognoz, Kutyn, Albazino deposits.
From 2018 to 2019, at AO VEDK (Eastern European Mining Company), he managed a project on state expertise and construction of a ZIF at the Khangalas ore gold deposit in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

In 1971 he graduated from Tashkent State University with a degree in geologist-geochemist engineer.
During the period from 1971 to 1987 he participated in geological exploration at exploratory sites as well as gold and gold-silver deposits of Western Uzbekistan, including Muruntau, Myutenbai, Besapantau, Kosmanachi, Daugiztau, Visokovoltnoe, Sari-batir, Asaukak, Amantaitau, Zarmitan, Mardjanbulak, deposits of Kokpatass ore field and others.
As a result of the work a number of promising gold and gold-silver exposures were identified.
Over the period from 1988 to 1993 he participated in long-hole drilling programme on the Muruntau ore field area, which resulted in confirmation to proceed with Muruntau field main ore reserves at the depth of up to 2 km. This gave an increase in forecast resources for P1 category of more than 1000 tons of gold.
Results of the work were published in one of the last issues of the journal Soviet Geology (1991) and included in Muruntau monograph (1998).
In 1994, as a foreman at Bateman Engineering, he worked on the project for construction of Muruntau heap leaching.
In 1995, after the construction was completed, he was transferred to SP Zarafshan-Newmont gold mining company, where he worked his career way from foreman to Refinery Superintendent.
In 2007 the company was rearranged into the heap leaching workshop of Navoi mining-and-metallurgical integrated works.
In general for the period from 1995 to 2007 the enterprise produced more than 165 tons of fine gold.
From 2008 to 2010 at the invitation of Geology Directorate of Zolotoi Division Severstalresurs (currently Nordgold) he worked as chief geologist of Aprelkovo Rudnik ZAO (Trans-Baikal Territory).
During the period of work in the company and with the participation of Vladimir Grigorievich prospect boring and technological ore sampling of Pogromnoye deposit was carried out, a feasibility study of final mining parameters of oxide ore with reserves calculation was prepared and approved by State Commission for Reserves of Commercial Minerals, a technical project for expanding the quarry of oxide ore was prepared and approved by ROSNEDR Central Committee for the Development of Mineral Deposits.
From 2010 to 2011, at the invitation of IC Arlan, he worked as chief executive officer at OOO Pavlik Gold Mining Company (Magadan region). During this period, a detailed exploration of Pavlik deposit was carried out by the use of core drilling (including boreholes drilling up to 650 m deep), technological mapping of ores, selection of a semi-industrial technological sample, study of concentratibility and physical and mechanical properties of ores and host rocks along with the development of small reserves of alluvial gold in overburden rocks.
From 2017 to 2018, he worked as the chief geologist of ChitaResurs OOO (Zabaikalsky Krai), where he carried out the assessment of the Pilnenskoye gold deposit by means of trenching and drilling core holes to prepare the deposit for experimental-industrial development testing.
